Jamie Hamer

  • Jamie is a proud Co-Founder of Bolt Cover, and takes Total Ownership for creating a leading UK insurtech in Bolt Cover.

    Previously, Jamie has been a sales leader and entrepreneur, having cofounded and exited React News - now Europe's largest paid real estate news service - in 2022 after growing the team to more than 30 and over £10m of revenue. Before that, Jamie provided exceptional sales results to industry giants such as Procter and Gamble, The Acuris Group and Gartner. Jamie published a 2021 book on sales (The Exceptional Sales Career), is an award-winning public speaker and held a CFA Charter.

Tori Hutchinson

  • As Co-Founder and Head of Operations, Tori is laser focused on making sure Bolt Cover Overperforms, and does so with customers in mind at all times.

    Tori has held senior partnership and project management positions at a number of companies. She has managed sponsorships for two global entertainment industry leaders, Cirque du Soleil and the Ambassador Theatre Group. She also served as senior account manager at React News, where she was instrumental in the company's growth from a small start-up to a profitable business with over 760 accounts and 38,000 paying users. Prior to that, Tori worked on a number of initiatives in the UK, APAC, and the US for Monica Vinader, a luxury jewellery brand, with an emphasis on developing global franchise partnerships.

Richard Smith

  • Richard is a multifaceted tech leader, serving as the CTO, board member, and investor at Bolt Cover. He embodies the Complete Trustworthiness of our tech and compliance.

    Building exceptional technology within time and budget constraints is no small feat, but Richard and his team excel in making it not only achievable but enjoyable. As a dedicated tech entrepreneur, Richard's core lies in development, backed by a rich history in crafting and promoting high-performance technology. Richard's accomplished team has taken the reins in conceptualizing, constructing, hosting, and promoting high-performance websites and mobile applications for prominent entities such as L’Oreal, Grolsch, and the Department for Education.

Shaun David

  • Shaun David brings a wealth of experience to Bolt Cover, with a solid background in sales and business development. As an active member of the SDR Leaders of EMEA and Sales Development Leaders (SDL) since May 2024, Shaun has demonstrated his commitment to excellence in sales development. His recent role as an SDR Lead at QTA, where he was instrumental in driving outbound sales and enhancing lead generation processes, showcases his ability to adapt and excel in dynamic environments.

    Previously, Shaun served as Head of Sales at Splend, where he managed sales operations, developed customer relationships, and achieved impressive sales targets. His tenure at Beck Evans as Sales Manager further highlighted his expertise in new business development and exceeding sales targets. With a comprehensive background that includes roles at Audi UK, Shaun has honed his skills in sales performance, CRM management, and team leadership.

    Joining Bolt Cover as Business Development Lead, Shaun is excited to leverage his extensive experience and strategic insights to optimise operations and drive growth. His passion for technology and process automation makes him a valuable asset to the team.

Neil MacQuarrie

  • Neil’s journey has taken him from Chemistry to the music industry and advertising, honing his expertise in stakeholder management and translating complex technical details into seamless user experiences. His ability to build strong relationships and collaborate across teams makes him the perfect fit for our mission.At Bolt Cover, Neil will play a pivotal role in delivering top-tier service to our clients and ensuring a smooth, efficient integration process across our growing network.

George Miller

  • George, our Head of Insurance & Compliance here at Bolt Cover, is equipped with a stellar skill set and extensive experience in establishing best practices for risk management, governance, operations, and reporting initiatives.

    Over the last 20+ years, George has honed his expertise in leading compliance, data and risk teams within insurance, tech and financial institutions. His journey spans large multinationals such as NatWest Markets and JP Morgan, where he worked closely with regulators to navigate complex governance landscapes, and made significant contributions to scaling tech businesses, including Onsi (formerly Collective Benefits), where he played a pivotal role in driving compliance, streamlining operations and risk management strategies.

    At Bolt Cover, George leads the way in implementing the compliance and governance framework of the business, and managing integrations with our insurance partners, showcasing his commitment to upholding industry standards and ensuring regulatory adherence.

    A true asset to any organisation, George's decision to join Bolt Cover speaks volumes about Bolt Cover's dedication to provide its customers and insurance partners with best in class service.

Josh Kunz

  • Josh is a highly skilled Lead Developer at Bolt Cover, with extensive experience in full-stack development and expertise in Ruby on Rails, JavaScript, and Shopify.

    Previously, Josh served as the Head of Development at Formulate Digital, where he refined his proficiency in both front-end and back-end technologies. 

    His diverse technical background includes roles in product design engineering and geographic information systems. Josh is dedicated to creating innovative solutions and advancing technology in the insurance industry.

Jacquita Smart

  • Jacquita is a highly organised Operations Executive with a degree in Forensic Science and Psychology, which enhances her analytical approach to problem-solving and process improvement. With extensive experience in Operations, she excels at streamlining workflows, fostering team collaboration, and driving organisational efficiency.

    In her previous roles in a VC, Investment Management and a Forensic Service provider, Jacquita played a pivotal role in managing projects, optimising office operations, and supporting high-performing teams. Her ability to adapt to dynamic environments and her commitment to continuous improvement make her a valuable addition to the Bolt Cover team.

Louis Dowden

  • Louis Dowden is a Full Stack Developer at Bolt Cover, bringing extensive experience in Ruby on Rails, various JavaScript frameworks, and Shopify. He holds a BSc in Cognitive Science and Artificial Intelligence from Tilburg University, which supports his ability to deliver innovative solutions across both front-end and back-end development.

    In his previous role at Formulate Digital, Louis honed his technical skills and contributed to numerous successful projects. His adaptability and problem-solving abilities enable him to tackle complex challenges and contribute effectively to the development team at Bolt Cover.

Jack Loizel

  • Jack Loizel is a Junior Full Stack Developer at Bolt Cover with a particular interest for building user-friendly web applications. Coming from a background in structural engineering, he turned to software development after discovering his passion for coding and problem-solving. Over the last year, he has immersed himself in full stack development with experience in JavaScript, React, Node.js and other modern web technologies. His analytical mind and attention to detail, which he developed through his engineering background, allow him to approach development in a methodical and logical manner. At Bolt Cover, Jack is excited to apply his ability to build innovative solutions and grow in the insurtech industry. He is constantly eager to learn, adapt, and develop his technical capabilities.
